Our Work
What we do
VCF is engaged in multiple projects across Fiji, other Pacific nations, and even India, aimed at addressing pressing healthcare needs.
Our teams in Australia and overseas have been working tirelessly to meet urgent requests from healthcare providers. We are working to supply modern surgical equipment and other essential medical supplies to enhance the quality of medical care and improve patient outcomes.
Surgical Supplies & Hospital Beds For The Community
Protective Clothing & Bedding

VCF provides wound care and surgical supplies, such as gowns, masks, gloves and other protective clothing. The essential supplies are helping Fijian healthcare workers within hospitals and community healthcare centres. Hospital beds have also been in short supply, with our VCF team providing these functional yet comfortable aids to both individuals and hospitals.
Ongoing Clinical & Technical Training
Training With Technology

As a follow up to VCF supplying mammography machines to state-of-the-art dialysis units or vital signs machines to oxygen regulators, we have found training clinical and technical staff on their use has been paramount. VCF’s biomedical engineers make sure that the medical teams understand how to operate the equipment. Most importantly, they train in how to maintain it to ensure its longevity.
Medical Supplies For Babies Through To The Elderly
ECG Machines To Weigh Scales

A wide range of hospital equipment has been requested and sourced for Fijian communities. The equipment has included ECG Machines, examination beds and baby weigh scales to curtain packs, wheelchairs and Vital Signs Monitors. VCF Is supplying resources to keep healthcare centres and hospitals functioning – from the chairs and desks to the audiologist kits.

01
Search & Source Modern Medical Equipment
VCF is alerted to the needs of medical teams and healthcare workers. We go about sourcing the state-of-the-art equipment along with additional supplies to completely fill a shipping container.
02
Store & Recalibrate
Each item is stored, then placed into the hands of our expert biomedical engineers to calibrate and prepare for the journey to its destination. No items are forwarded without its full set of checks and restoration.

03
Pack & Ship
Such enormously precious cargo must be carefully packed and readied for departure. VCF works with Swire Shipping to move the precious cargo to its destination point and deliver direct to the door.
04
Install and/or Distribute
For complicated medical equipment bound for hospitals and healthcare centres, we ensure installation is streamlined. Distribution of the many personal mobility devices, hospital bedding and other supplies rely heavily on our Ramakrishna Mission partners who work with the needy day-in and day-out.

05
Clinical & Tech Training
It’s paramount that medical teams understand how to use and maintain the equipment provided. The key to the success of our medical device donations has been VCF’s training for both clinical as well as technical staff members to gain the best use of the equipment.
06
Ongoing Support
Our VCF biomedical engineers continue to support our recipients, helping medical teams maintain and care for their equipment. This ensures the confidence in the equipment’s use and its smooth operation and longevity.
